WHAT IS AFPAG CONFERENCE
Rise to the Challenge
Welcome Friends and Colleagues,
We, the Adoptive and Foster Parent Association of Georgia’s (AFPAG) Board of Directors, would like to welcome you to our Annual Education Conference. We deem it a privilege and an honor to have an active role in shaping the future of adoptive and foster parents and children in the State of Georgia through advocacy, education, and networking with parents, DFCS staff, local agencies, and other professionals.
Our theme is “Rise to the Challenge.” These have been challenging times for us all, but we have persevered and we have never wavered in our commitment to serve Georgia’s children. Planning a conference in the midst of the pandemic has been difficult. Last year we made the difficult decision to not hold the conference, but we are more than ready to see you all again now!
We hope you will enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Jekyll Island. The conference committee has worked very hard to make this 49th conference a wonderful event for you. We invite you to share your experience with your peers during the breaks, at informal group discussions, and anytime you can. Please let someone you meet know that you are very proud of the care you give to Georgia’s children.
Thanking you in advance for your support! See you at the conference.
Registration Forms & Scholarship Applications
During this year’s education conference, we will be offering exhibit space to those organizations, businesses, and individuals who wish to display and/or sell their products. The exhibit area is in a central location next to the workshop classroom and near the concession stand so you will be located where the people are.
